ABOUT OPEN LEAGUE
Silicon Valley NJB hosts an open league during the winter season. The league is open to pre-existing competitive girls teams (5th - 8th) and boys teams (7th-8th) as well as Winter NJB Chapter All-Net teams from any location (Open Boundaries). It is designed to be the most competitive level for teams during the winter season. Teams in this league should be prepared to possibly play against other highly competitive teams like aau teams, school teams, club teams, and more.
SVNJB is a well-established youth basketball program that hosts multiple leagues each basketball season such as a Winter League (about 450 teams), a Spring League (about 100 teams) and a Summer League (about 80 teams). SVNJB also fields Club teams (SV Stars) and are a member of AAU. SVNJB has the league management and experience to host a quality league such as the Girls Open League.
AGE GROUPS
The League will consist of teams in the following age groups:
Girls - 5th (11u), 6th (12u), 7th (13u), 8th (14u)
Boys - 5th (11u), 6th (12u), 7th (13u), 8th (14u)
OPEN TO COMPETITIVE TEAMS
The league is open to all club, AAU, and/or competitive teams from any location
10 GAME REGULAR SEASON + POST SEASON
Game played mostly on Sundays

For post season, teams play a single elimination tournament weekend of 2/3
